Project Description
Advance Auto Parts Presents, Car + Culture. A series about cars and the cultures that surround them. Produced for Leo Burnett/Lapiz, we were asked to join the AAP crew and create 4 mini-docs about car subcultures and the people that make those cultures real. In chapter one we went to New Mexico to learn more about 4-Wheelers and their cars.

The New Mexico 4-Wheelers have been active in the Albuquerque area since 1958. Respecting the land, enjoying the challenge, helping others. The community of 4x4r's online have loved the piece, viewing it over 2 million times since its posting in mid-2016.
In the following episode we met Carlos Segura in Miami, award-winning designer, founder of Segura Inc., T26, and Cartype.com, a blog focused on highlighting every detail about design in the automotive world.
We wrapped up the series with two more episodes. First, in Houston following Food Trucks and the people who keep them running. And finally, we took a peek into the lives of Chicago's mysterious alley recyclers, or as they're more commonly known "scrappers."
