Project Description
Close Ups is a series of companion videos created by Sidekick Director, Ben Derico, for CreativeMornings, a morning lecture series about creativity, featuring local artists and creatives talking about their work and process, with chapters in over 180 cities around the world.
These mini-docs serve to contextualize each speaker's talk with a more in-depth "Close Up," of his or her Space and Processes. The series is a small attempt to shed some light on Chicago's creative community.
The second episode in the series follows artist, designer, and founder of the You Are Beautiful project, Matthew Hoffman, as he works on his latest installation in his uber-efficent studio; a one car garage. For Matthew the best advice for any budding creative is "just do it." Ok. There might be a little more to it than that. Check out the video above for more.
